How To Set A BIOS Password






Step1: Turn on or reboot your computer and Press Del key continuously on the keyboard.
(In laptop press F2 continuously)

Step2: You'll see a menu screen something like this.


Step3: Browse and select Set User password OR Set Supervisor Password and Press Enter.
(Every BIOS is different, sometimes password option maybe find in Security tab)

Note: The difference between Set User Password and Set Supervisor Password:

  • User password controls access to the system at boot.
  • Supervisor password controls access to the setup utility.

Step4: Type the password in the space provided and press Enter. Type again for for confirm it.


Step5: Save the changes and exit the BIOS setup. (Press F10 for save it)
