To Restrict A User's Logon Hours

Chances are high that if you have kids and computers at home, there will be times where you wished you had control over when they could actually log on and use the computer. With Windows Vista and Windows 7, you can now easily do just that with the Parental Controls feature.

Step1: Start
Step2: Control panel
Step3: User Account and Family Safety
Step4: Parental Control
Step5: Select Standard user account
(Which You want to restrict logon hours)
Step7: Enable Parental Control Feature.

Step8: Click on Time Limits.

Step9: Set logon hours
Step10: Click OK

Method II

To restrict a users logon hours , use the net user command. These commands are used from the Command Prompt.

Step1: Go to: Start > RUN > and type cmd
Step2: net user <User Name> /time:Day-Day,Time-Time

Below are some examples that you can use:

Example 1 - net user Naina /time:M-T,08:00-17:00 (In this case user Naina is allowed to login between Monday to Friday, in between 8 AM to 5 PM)
Example 2 - net user Vishal /time:M-F,8am-5pm
Example 3 - net user Gates /time:M,4am-5pm;T,1pm-3pm;W-F,8:00-17:00
Example 4 - net user Shine /time:all (this one means this user can always log on)
